More dubbed out lo-fi IDM from the vault, Volume II of archival material recorded in 1995 and 1996.

from Perfect Nostalgia Beach Rave I:
in 2017, after completion of the Tumult ep, I began work on this album with the rough concept that I were dj-ing my own songs at some mutant night time beach rave. this imaginary beach rave was partly inspired by many years of conversations with joshua treble/unfollow and his haunted dance floor music. additional inspiration has come from hans-joachim rodelius' Selbstportraits, various soundcloud dumps and archival recordings that now offer even more opportunities to hear electronic art music.

the songs on this album (volumes I and II) were originally recorded on 4-track in 1995/1996, no computer... just drum machine and sequencer/synth. as i went through the source tapes, it occurred to me that the lo-fi nature of the recordings could become an aesthetic unto itself. once i discovered the song "Salamander" (appears on Volume I) i knew that making this album would be worth it if only to be able to privately enjoy a song that i remembered but hadn't heard in over 25 years. at the end of it all (and with 80 more songs) i feel like i have created a very idiosyncratic album with unifying production (dub in its truest sense) . hopefully you will enjoy listening to it as much as i enjoyed creating it.
